In honor of the purple one and the state that lives and breathes his music. When it rains in Minnesota, it rains purple.

My collaged version of hardware-store paint swatches. Named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow, these 25 swatches represent the color-families I think about and use to make all of my other pieces.

Rainbow Community is made with over 600 pieces of paper in the eight colors of the original Gay Pride Flag: pink, red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, indigo, purple/violet. For me, a hive of perfectly fitted hexagons has come to represent a bustling and fruitful community.
